More than just self-defence.

Dragon Tao classes teach children skills they carry into every area of life β€” school, sport, and relationships.

πŸ›‘οΈ

Confidence & Anti-Bullying

Children learn to carry themselves with calm confidence β€” and how to handle pressure without aggression.

🧠

Focus & Emotional Control

Structured training builds attention span, self-regulation, and the ability to stay calm under pressure.

πŸ’ͺ

Coordination & Fitness

Wing Chun develops whole-body coordination, posture, balance, and healthy movement patterns.

Structured, upbeat, and beginner-friendly.

Kids learn stance, footwork, and age-appropriate self-defence skills in a safe, supervised environment. Classes move at a pace every child can follow, with clear coaching and plenty of encouragement.

There are no expectations on day one. Most children start with zero experience β€” and that’s exactly how it should be.

Every class ends with students feeling capable and confident. That’s the standard we hold ourselves to.

Young Dragons

A dedicated class for teenagers β€” structured training that meets teens where they are. Young Dragons develop real self-defence skills alongside the discipline, focus, and physical awareness that carries into school, sport, and everyday life.

The class moves at a pace that challenges and engages β€” not too fast, never condescending. Teens train alongside peers in a respectful environment where effort is recognised and progress is visible.

Young Dragons runs every Wednesday 5:00–6:00pm at Mona Vale HQ. Teens are also welcome to attend the Adult classes. Pricing is the same as our kids program.

What parents ask us.

If you don’t see your question here, text us on 0417 492 382.

What ages do you cater for?

Kids classes run for ages 3–11, with a dedicated Mini Dragons session for 3–5 year olds on Saturday mornings. The Young Dragons program is for teens aged 12–17, running Wednesday evenings. We’ll recommend the right class once you tell us your child’s age.

Does my child need experience?

No. Most children start with zero experience, and that’s completely normal. Classes are beginner-friendly from day one.

What is the Young Dragons (Teens) class?

Young Dragons is a dedicated class for 12–17 year olds, running every Wednesday 5–6pm. It’s separate from the kids classes β€” the pace and content are tailored specifically for teenagers. Pricing is the same as the kids program.

Is it safe?

Yes. All training is supervised, age-appropriate, and structured with safety as the foundation. Partner drills are controlled and taught progressively.

What should they wear?

Comfortable clothes they can move in β€” trackpants and a t-shirt is fine. We’ll share full details when you confirm your free trial.

Can I watch?

Absolutely. Parents are always welcome to watch from the side. Many parents find it reassuring to see the class environment first-hand.

What if my child is shy?

We see this often. Instructors are patient and never put children on the spot. Most shy children open up within the first two sessions.

Ready to book a free trial class?

No commitment, no credit card. Just show up and let your child experience it for themselves.
